Program and Project Management

Introduction:
McClair provides Program and Project Management support to the Commercial, Department of Defense, and Education industries. In this role, McClair is responsible for the overall health of the project.

The Process:
McClair believes that 90% of the Program or Project Manager’s job is communication. We communicate upward to Leadership and downward to the Team. We develop, monitor, and maintain the following documents: Project Charter, Project Management Plan, Staffing Plan, Communications Plan, Scope Document, Requirements Document, Project Schedule, and Lessons Learned.

Both Doug McClair and Colleen McClair are members of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Colleen McClair is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Past Projects:
McClair has managed dozens of projects, both large and small.

For the Baltimore County School System, Doug managed the implementation of an updated network infrastructure including VLANS, switches, and routers. Doug coordinated with the Team to develop an implementation schedule for this complex project.

For the Department of Defense, Colleen managed a large Team to develop a database and application to track the export of defense materials. This was a complex, multi-year project that involved every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle.

For a large Construction company, Colleen managed the development of templates for billing. These templates performed basic math operations; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

For a large Publishing Company, Colleen managed the development of a process to produce a printed monthly publication.
